Due to weather, the Midway Woods Neighborhood Plant Swap and Social is rescheduled for Sunday, April 2 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Dearborn Park

Best types of plants for a plant swap

Due to weather, we are postponing the Midway Woods Neighborhood Plant Swap and Social until Sunday, April 2nd.

The event will be at the same time and place – 2 to 4 p.m. at the pavilion in Dearborn Park off Midway Road.

We hope to see you there!

Please join us for the first Midway Woods Neighborhood Plant Swap and Social.

When: 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 2.

Where: The pavilion in Dearborn Park off Midway Road

Whether you are looking to offload some greenery, acquire a new plant or two, or want to meet other Midway Woods neighbors with a green thumb, please come on out, share ideas, and bounce projects off one another.

For those who have plants to contribute, we ask that they be healthy and that you label  every pot or plant clearly with common or botanical name, including instructions if required, or whatever you know about the plant (does it prefer sun, shade, etc.) We’ll have notecards and pens on hand at the event for this purpose as well.

Bring photos of your plant in bloom too — everyone will be interested in seeing what the plants might look like in full flower.

If this proves popular, we hope to make this an annual event!

If you are interested in participating, please RSVP with us  at midwaywoodscommunications@gmail.com so we have an idea of the head count for the event. Email us as well at midwaywoodscommunications@gmail.com  with questions and ideas.

We hope to see you there!
