The Midway Woods Association’s annual meeting and board election is scheduled for:

  • Wednesday, October 15th  at Hawkin’s Hall in Legacy Park.
  • Legacy Park tour starts at 6:15. 
  • Annual Meeting starts at 7:00.

We have a number of special guests joining us for our annual meeting:

Commissioner Johnson
will share updates on current and upcoming projects, and discuss how her office can be most helpful with issues impacting Midway Woods and how residents and our association can most effectively partner with their office.

Madeleine Henner will talk about all that is going on at Legacy Park – all the work that has been done there to date and upcoming projects, plus how to get involved in everything that is going on at the park.

Major McCown, Public Education Specialist Beyunka Foster, and a patrol sergeant will be in attendance to address public safety questions and ongoing concerns about car racing along Memorial Drive. 

In addition, Tiffany Simpson, Engineer with Watershed Management, will attend to provide an overview of the Shoal Creek sewer line project

In addition to hearing from our guest speakers, the association will start setting an agenda for the coming year, so if there is an issue you are passionate about or want to rally support for, this meeting is the perfect time to start doing so! We’d love to hear from you!

New board members are elected at our annual meeting. In order to be eligible to vote or run for a spot on the board you must be a registered member for 2025-26 by September 29th (14 days before the election).


JOIN THE MIDWAY WOODS ASSOCIATION OR RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP TODAY

The Midway Woods Association’s annual membership drive is underway. If you’re already a member, we encourage you to renew for 2025-2026! If you’re new to the association or neighborhood, we’d love for you to join!  Being a member means you can vote and/or run for a seat on the board. Membership dues help pay for administrative expenses for websites, newsletters, social events, and environmental projects. 

Suggested dues are $20 per person, per year, and can be paid using PayPal (preferred) or via check.

When making payments via PayPal, please send the payment from your bank account and not your credit card to avoid fees and send to: treasurer@midwaywoodsassociation.org. If paying by  check, send to:

Dues are always optional and are not required to join the association.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED

The Midway Woods Association is looking for volunteers to help our board plan and organize the many projects and events for our neighborhood. We would love your involvement!

Joining the board or serving as a volunteer is a great way to get to know your neighbors and feel more connected to the neighborhood. Please consider joining! Leading up to and during our annual meeting  we will be accepting nominations for board members.  Note you must be a member of the Midway Woods Association  for a minimum of 14 days to be eligible (to run or to vote). Email us at midwaywoodscommunications@gmail.com if you have questions or want more info about what being on the board is like!

You don’t need to be an association board member to get involved. If you are interested in lending some support for any of the following activities, please let us know at midwaywoodscommunications@gmail.com. We’ll contact you with more information. And thank you!
